The Climbing Lab is a premium facility in the heart of Leeds with a desire to improve and innovate within the climbing industry to create a new benchmark standard for climbers nationally.
 
At the heart of this is our staffing. We expect all of our staff to mirror our ambition in line with these goals and as such are looking for individuals who are Charismatic, Professional, Experienced and above all can inspire our climbers with their own passion for the sport. 

INSTRUCTORS

 

We are currently looking for freelance instructors for our children's parties and classes.

 

Requirements;

  • CWA or SPA holder

  • Enhanced DBS check

  • Valid first aid certificate

  • Experience working with children

 

Desirable;

  • Experience in delivering NIBAS / NICAS

  • Foundation coaching award

  • FUNdamentals of climbing 1 & 2 attendance

  • Experience working with children with special needs

 

The Role;

  • Sessions will normally be 1.5 to 2 hours for between 4 and 10 customers.

  • The age range we work with is between 5 and 17 years old.

Weekend Receptionist / Shift manager

 

Following the successfull launch of the Climbing Lab in February we are now looking to hire two additional members of staff to work weekend shifts. With the right experience and qualifications we anticipate one of these will lead to a weekend shift manager position.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Experience in a customer facing role

  • IT Literate

  • Experienced Climbing Wall User

 

Desirable:

 

  • Previous experience working in a climbing centre

  • Familiarity with using EPOS systems

  • CWA or SPA trained

  • Valid first aid certificate

  • Experience using climbing wall management programs such as Rock Gym Pro.

 

The Role:

 

  • Responsibilities are checking in customers by setting up new memberships, serving coffee and dealing with stock sales.  Work towards delivering climbing and top out inductions.

  • Pay is £16,000 on a pro-rata basis
